Michael Jackson's one and only autobiography, Moonwalk, will be made available to the public again starting October 13, 2009. The book was first published in 1988. The 2009 reissue will include the original Foreword by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, a new Introduction by Motown founder Berry Gordy, and an Afterword by
Michael Jackson's editor and publisher, Shaye Areheart. This is the only book about his life that Michael Jackson ever wrote. Michael Jackson sues auction house for sale plans
Michael Jackson sued an auction house Wednesday to halt the scheduled sale of thousands of his personal possessions, an action the firm says caught it completely off-guard.
The King of Pop's company, MJJ Productions, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday against Julien's Auction House. It claims founder Darren Julien promised to send Jackson an inventory of sale items, but that the singer hasn't given permission to move them all.
The suit claims many of the items are "priceless and irreplaceable" and describes the attempt to sell them as "malicious, fraudulent, extreme, outrageous and without any legal justification whatsoever."
Julien said Wednesday night that the lawsuit was a "total surprise to us, because Jackson had been apprised of everything since the day we started. His manager ... has approved everything."
"I am in Ireland right now but this comes as a surprise. Michael Jackson and his manager have been involved and we have communicated with them all along on this auction. We are not a moving company but we are an auction house. It does not make sense that he did not want the items sold that we picked up." Darren Julien, Julien's Auctions' President exclusively told China.org.cn.
In December, Julien's company announced it would administer a five-day auction in April featuring more than 2,000 of Jackson's personal items, including his American Music Award for "Thriller," a velvet cape given to him by his children for Father's Day in 1998, a pair of rhinestone-trimmed socks from 1981 and a basketball signed by Michael Jordan.
Platinum and gold records, a customized Harley Davidson, a Rolls Royce limousine and his own original artwork were also set for sale, according to the original announcement.
MJJ Productions authorized the auction house to remove the items from Jackson's Neverland Ranch, according to court documents, but not to sell them without Jackson's permission.
"There was no other intention when we picked up the items" but to put them up for sale, Julien said. He said that Jackson's camp had since requested some items be returned, which the firm honored.
"Up until two days ago we were working with his managers," including final details such as a date for the catalog to be ready and signed, he added.
Julien, who is in Ireland on a promotional trip and had not been served with the lawsuit, said he would be getting in touch with the Jackson camp before deciding what to do next.

Jackson died from "acute propofol intoxication," but "other conditions contributing to death: benzodiazepine effect," the release said.
The sedatives lorazepam, midazolam and diazepam -- which the coroner said were found in Jackson's body -- are benzodiazepines.
Benzodiazepine effect is characterized by central nervous system depression, said Dr. Bruce Goldberger, professor and director of toxicology at the University of Florida College of Medicine, who was not involved in Jackson's care.
Adding these drugs to propofol, commonly used as a general anesthetic for surgeries and diagnostic procedures, amplifies the sedative effect and increases the risk of respiratory arrest, said Dr. Eugene Viscusi, anesthesiologist and director of pain management at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also was not involved in Jackson's care.
In a hospital setting, however, these interactions are "managed all the time, and well understood," he said. "These drugs have no place in an unmonitored setting or in unskilled hands."
Ephedrine, another drug listed in Friday's release, is a drug anesthesiologists use to increase blood pressure, Viscusi said. Lidocaine, an anesthetic that the coroner said was also found in Jackson's body, is sometimes used in hospitals to alleviate the burning sensation that may accompany propofol, Viscusi said.
The use of propofol in a nonmonitored setting is "ludicrous," Viscusi said. The Food and Drug Administration has not approved propofol for use as a sleep aid.

A search warrant and affidavit unsealed in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday said Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal physician, told a detective that he had been treating Jackson for insomnia for six weeks. Murray said each night, he gave Jackson 50 mg of propofol diluted with the anesthetic lidocaine via an intravenous drip, according to the affidavit.
Detective Orlando Martinez of the Los Angeles Police Department detailed what Murray told detectives he gave Jackson on the final day of his life, which included the sedative Valium (diazepam), the anti-anxiety drug Ativan (lorazepam), the sedative Versed (midazolam), and 25 mg of propofol. All of these drugs must have accumulated in his system during this time, said Lois Parker, senior pharmacist at Massachusetts General Hospital. While the individual doses are not large, the combination is "shocking," she said.
"Typically, you wouldn't see someone taking all of them in combination unless they were abusing them in some way," she said.
After stacking benzodiazepines, adding the dose of propofol "breaks the camel's back," Goldberger said. But a 25 mg dose of propofol alone would have been considered relatively small, he said.
Given that Jackson said in the past that he had been addicted to painkillers -- in 1993 in a video statement he said this happened after his scalp was burned in a Pepsi commercial taping -- his liver was likely not as healthy as a normal 50-year-old's liver, Parker said.
Goldberger noted that it was "extremely bold" for a medical examiner to say that Jackson's death was a homicide. However, the coroner's report did not cite the nature of the homicide finding or whether the coroner's office concluded that a crime took place.
In addition to surgery patients, some patients in the intensive care unit receive infusions of propofol, Viscusi said, and may also receive pain medications. The key is that they are carefully observed, he said.
The full and final autopsy report and the complete toxicology report "will remain on security hold at the request of the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County district attorney," the coroner's office said.
Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff, said Friday's announcement from the coroner "contains nothing new."
"This has all the earmarks of police gamesmanship, and we will not be responding until we get a full autopsy report, including the entire list of drugs found in Mr. Jackson, their quantities, and all other data that would allow independent medical experts to analyze and interpret," Chernoff said.
Propofol has generated controversy in the anesthesiology community because of reports of its abuse by health care workers. A 2007 study published by the International Anesthesia Research Society found that about 18 percent of the 126 academic anesthesia programs in the United States had at least one reported instance of propofol abuse within the previous 10 years.
There is not adequate accounting of propofol in hospitals, said Dr. Paul Wischmeyer, professor of anesthesiology at the University of Colorado, lead author of the study.
Propofol affects two important brain receptors, one of which is linked with anti-anxiety drugs such as Valium, and the other is associated with marijuana, he said.
Abuse of this drug tends to be associated with impulsive, risk-taking people who may have had trauma earlier in life, Wischmeyer said. They take the drug to attempt to escape that trauma, he said.
"Once someone has tried this drug in a way that they remember it, they very much always choose to try it again," he said.
Federal and state agencies have launched their own independent investigations into matters uncovered by Los Angeles police while looking into Jackson's death, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and California's attorney general said Friday.

Michael Jackson Auction Cancelled!
We all had been waiting for Michael Jackson’s auction to happen and we had wanted to get at least some of the goods being sold, if not for his chariot and house. Unfortunately, the auction has been called off and it has already disappointed many people. It was expected to bring $10 million and now, it actually resulted in about $2 million in expenditure while preparing for the sale.
This only shows how transient and impermanent everything around us is, and how we should not go by all the hype generated. I am a great fan of Michael Jackson and I really believed this auction would bail him out of financial troubles.
However, his goods and belongings now may find a place in a museum dedicated to him, which is actually a good idea too. That way Wacko Jacko’s fans can all enjoy his stuff in one single space. Good for us!
This only shows how transient and impermanent everything around us is, and how we should not go by all the hype generated. I am a great fan of Michael Jackson and I really believed this auction would bail him out of financial troubles.

There are reports that the coroner has concluded Jackson's death was homicide.
The reports, carried by the Associated Press news agency quoting unnamed police sources, have not been confirmed.
But the BBC's Rajesh Mirchandani in Los Angeles says homicide includes manslaughter, and investigators have been trying to establish if there is a case for that charge.

Earlier this month, Dr Murray - who was employed as Michael Jackson's personal physician for a series of concerts in London scheduled for July - posted a video message on YouTube to thank his supporters.

Coroner Officially Rules Michael Jackson Death a Homicide
The Los Angeles County Coroner has determined that Michael Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication, with a handful of other drugs also contributing to the singer's death.
The coroner's office officially ruled the death a homicide.
"The drugs Propofol and Lorazepam were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr. Jackson's death," the coroner's office said in a statement Friday. "Other drugs detected were: Midazolam, Diazepam, Lidocaine and Ephedrine."
The other drugs listed are benzodiazepines typically used to treat anxiety and insomnia.
The Jacksons issued a statement following the coroner's release: "The Jackson family again wishes to commend the actions of the Coroner, the LAPD and other law enforcement agencies, and looks forward to the day that justice can be served."

What Is Propofol?
Law enforcement sources previously told FOXNews.com that Jackson's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, admitted he gave the singer, 50, the intravenous anesthetic propofol to help him sleep just hours before his death.

A law enforcement source told FOXNews.com that Murray would be charged with manslaughter in Jackson's death. A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office denied that prosecutors had decided to charge Murray.
At the request of the Los Angeles County District Attorney and the Los Angeles Police Department, "the final Coroner's report, including the complete toxicology report will remain on Security Hold" until their investigations are complete, the coroner's statement said.

According to the warrant and affidavit for last Friday's raid on Mickey Fine Pharmacy in Beverly Hills, Calif. investigators were searching for records of medication Klein allegedly prescribed to himself then gave to Jackson.

The return — a list of items seized during the search — was filed Thursday evening in California federal court and shows that investigators seized, "60 prescriptions, 29 patient profile print-outs, three copies of DEA Forms 222 (Order Forms) and copies of inventories of controlled substances."
Law enforcement sources told FOXNews.com that Friday's search of the Beverly Hills pharmacy yielded records of Klein prescribing controlled substances to himself.
According to the warrant for inspection and the affidavit for administrative inspection warrant, both obtained by FOXNews.com, between January 1, 2008 and July 6, 2009, Klein self-prescribed 27 controlled substances, which he filled at Mickey Fine Pharmacy and which investigators believe he gave to his friends — including Michael Jackson, who died of an apparent drug overdose on June 25.
The 60 prescriptions and 29 patient profiles were all related to the investigation into Jackson's death. The patient profiles belong to Jackson and aliases used by the star, law enforcement sources told FOXNews.com.
Investigators used the Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System (CURES), a database of all schedule 2 through 4 drugs prescribed by doctors or dispensed by pharmacies or medical facilities in the state of California.
According to the affidavit: "The [CURES] report shows 27 prescriptions written by Dr. Klein in a self-prescribing capacity, specifically prescribing medication to himself, from March 2006 through May 2009. These prescriptions include the medications hydrocodone (Vicodin), modafinil (Provigil), diazepam (Valium), and injectable midazolam (Versed)."
A CURES report for the pharmacy revealed the same self-prescribing information found in Klein's report.
The day after FOXNews.com reported exclusively that Klein was the subject of a criminal investigation likely to culminate in charges related to medical malpractice, Klein's criminal attorney told the DEA that the dermatologist had never self-prescribed.

Self-prescribing controlled substances is in violation of California Health & Safety Code 11170 —but it is not a criminal act.
The penalties for self-prescribing include fines and a loss of a physician's DEA license to prescribe controlled substances.
In the coming weeks, investigators will focus on obtaining more records of Klein's prescribing history, law enforcement sources tell FOXNews.com.

The burial was initially scheduled to take place on 29 August - on what would have been Jackson's 51st birthday.

I woke up this morning thinking about you (as usual)and i had to leave a message telling you how i am feeling. I know you can't read it but i am gonna leave it anyway. I spend almost all day listening to your music and watching videos of you. I am so lucky i work from home, i can play your music anytime i want. I have done that for years. My husband is about to go crazy cause he knows how i feel about you. He is being a jerk and trying to hurt me by making fun of you. He can say whatever he wants, it won't change my opinions of you. He started all of this when you died and saw me falling apart. I cannot stop crying since you died. I lost someone i have loved since i was a child. I wanted to meet you so bad but never got my chance. Just one minute with you would have changed my life. Those that knew you personally were truly blessed and all i can do now is wait until i get to Heaven to finally see the man i have loved my entire life. Michael Jackson's personal doctor accused police of twisting his story yesterday as reports suggested he was facing imminent arrest.
Dr Conrad Murray's lawyer dismissed a blow-by-blow account of the singer's last hours as 'police theory.'
Investigators have detailed a fatal cocktail of drugs administered to Jackson by Dr Murray.

Their claims come in legal papers filed in court as part of the request for a warrant to search the doctor's office in Houston, Texas.
Detectives are treating the 50-year-old star's death on June 25 as possible manslaughter.
Last night, Jackson's sister, LaToya, issued a statement praising the police investigation.
'I look forward to the day that justice will be served to all the parties involved in my brother's homicide,' she said.
'I am thankful to investigators for uncovering the truth to the world.'

Yesterday, Roy Black, a leading U.S. defence lawyer told an American breakfast TV show that the latest revelations - including a leak from the Los Angeles Coroner's office giving the cause of death as homicide - mean it is likely that Dr Murray will face criminal prosecution.
'I have no doubt he's going to be indicted. Just the amount of work tells us that,' he said.

Mr Black claimed the events outlined by police, including the use of the powerful hospital anaesthetic propofol to treat Jackson's chronic insomnia, will be considered a 'highly reckless, dangerous situation' by prosecutors.
Another TV network said Dr Murray would be arrested imminently and charged with manslaughter.
The doctor has denied any wrongdoing and his lawyer, Ed Chernoff, said he denies leaving the singer alone after administering a series of sedatives to try to help him sleep.

Mr Chernoff said: 'Much of what was in the search warrant affidavit is factual. However, unfortunately, much is police theory.
'Most egregiously, the timeline reported by law enforcement was not obtained through interviews with Dr Murray, as was implied by the affidavit.'
Mr Chernoff said Dr Murray did not tell police he left the star's bedroom to make phone calls, as alleged in the police papers.
But he did not comment on the claim that records had shown Dr Murray was on the phone between 11.18am to 12.05pm, but had not told the police of such calls.
The Los Angeles Coroner's office was still refusing to comment last night on claims that preliminary forensic tests during the official postmortem examination found that a lethal dose of propofol, a hospital anaesthetic, reacted with at least two sedatives to cause Jackson's death.
The police probe is focusing on whether Dr Murray was criminally negligent in administering drugs to Jackson hours before his death.
According to court papers, Dr Murray said he had been treating Jackson for insomnia for about six weeks with a nightly dose of 50 milligrams of propofol via an intravenous drip.
But he said he feared Jackson was forming an addiction to the anaesthetic, which is normally only administered in hospital, and was attempting to wean him off it by lowering the dose to 25 milligrams and adding the sedatives lorazepam and midazolam.
When Jackson complained he was unable to sleep after rehearsing for his London shows, Murray gave him a 10-milligram tab of Valium at 1.30am on June 25.
The doctor told police he then tried different drugs to treat the sleepless star.
The injections included two milligrams of lorazepam around 2am, two milligrams of midazolam around 3am, and repeats of each at 5am and 7.30am. None appeared to work.
Dr Murray told detectives that around 10.40am he gave in to Jackson's 'repeated demands/requests' for propofol, which the singer referred to as his 'milk'.
He administered 25 milligrams of the white-colored liquid and Jackson fell asleep.
Dr Murray remained with him for about 10 minutes then left to go to the toilet, said investigators. Two minutes later, he returned and found Jackson had stopped breathing.
Dr David Zvara, an anaesthesia expert from the University of North Carolina, said: 'All those drugs act in synergy with each other.' He said that adding propofol on top of all the other sedatives 'tipped the balance.' Read more:
