Michael Jackson predicted he would be murdered just before his death

Michael Jackson predicted he would be murdered just before his death

The singer wrote letters that said: 'I am scared about

One of Michael Jackson’s close friends has revealed the singer sent letters predicting his own murder just weeks before dying from a drug overdose.
Michael Jacobshagen — a 34-year-old businessman who was friends with Jackson for two decades — claimed the pop star wrote 13 letters that included phrases such as “They are trying to murder me” and “I am scared about my life.”
Speaking to Daphne Barak for Australian TV show Sunday Night, Jacobshagen said, via the Daily Mail: “He was in emotional meltdown saying ‘they are going to murder me’.”
Jacobshagen was in Germany when Jackson called, asking for him to fly to LA where they spent three days together and Jackson handed over the letters.
While the notes never clarified who ‘they’ were, they mention concert promoters AEG who, at the time, were organising Jackson’s London O2 residency. One apparently said: “AEG. Make so much pressure to me… I’m scared about my life.”
Jackson’s cause of death was an overdose of the sedative propofol, with his doctor, Conrad Murray, serving two years prison sentence after being found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
The singer’s daughter, Paris, recently claimed Jackson was murdered, Jacobshagen saying he’s come forward with the letters now to support her position.

start mp3

Beatles champion Tony Sheridan dies

The Fab Four made their first professional recordings in 1961 in Hamburg as the singer-songwriter's backing band Reuters guardian.co.uk, Tuesday 19 February 2013 00.24 GMT Tony Sheridan performing on stage in the Netherlands last year. Photograph: Rob Verhorst/Redferns Singer-songwriter Tony Sheridan, an early supporter of the Beatles, has died in Hamburg aged 72 following a long illness, German media have reported. Sheridan used the Beatles, then known as the Silver Beatles, as his back-up band when they played in the nightclubs of Hamburg's red light district in the 1960s before they were famous. Sheridan died on Saturday, Der Spiegel reported on its website, citing a post by the musician's family on facebook. A search by Reuters found no such post. The Beatles, playing under another guise as "The Beat Brothers", also backed Sheridan on his song "My Bonnie" and Sheridan last year played at the 50th anniversary of the legendary Hamburg Star club. A 1962 performance including Ringo Starr on the drums at the Star Club with songs such as "Roll Over Beethoven" was a watershed performance that helped catapult the Beatles to fame. They were Sheridan's warm-up act that night. "Tony was a good guy who we knew and worked with from the early days in Hamburg," Paul McCartney said in a statement on his website. "We regularly watched his late night performances and admired his style. He will be missed."

Michael Jackson 'Thriller' jacket fetches $1.8M

Michael Jackson's black-and-red jacket from 'Thriller' fetches $1.8M at Beverly Hills auction
On Monday June 27, 2011, 8:48 am EDT

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- A famed black-and-red calfskin jacket that Michael Jackson wore in the classic "Thriller" video has sold at auction for $1.8 million.
Darren Julien, president and CEO of Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, says the jacket was purchased Sunday by Milton Verret, a commodities trader from Austin, Texas.
The jacket is one of two Jackson wore during the filming of the 1983 "Thriller" video. Jackson wears the jacket in a scene with a troupe of zombies who rise from their graves and break into a dance routine.
Verret says the jacket will be sent on tour and used as a fundraising tool for children's charities.
A portion of the sale price will go to the Shambala Preserve, a big cat sanctuary caring for two tigers Jackson one owned.
